MTV, are your producers sixteen too?

I was a teen mom, so when MTV came out with the hit series "Teen Mom", I was hooked, along with the millions of other teen moms throughout the country. Now its been said that because of this show, girls all around have been purposely getting pregnant in hopes to getting a spot on the show. Yes, these teen moms have gotten richer than your typical teen mom, but come on? No girl wants to actually go through the things the show shows the moms going through. These parents are just mad and disappointed, that they're little princess got pregnant, and they're looking for an excuse. How ridiculous. We live in a time where sex before marriage is public, although people have been doing it for years. Your generation just did it in secret. And it could possibly be the lack of respect, or the availability of help from the government. Who knows. I do know these eight soon to be twelve girls have gone through exceptionally a lot more than the typical teen moms I know. The series started 2009 with Maci (my personal fav), Amber, Catelyn, and Farrah. 

 

Maci Bookout and her preshhh alittle boy Bentley is my favorites from all the girls yet. Quick playback...she was engaged to father of Bentley, Ryan Edwards, he was your typically teen dad, they broke up. Ryan was encouraged from family and friends, including he new girlfriend to get everything legal and on paper. Maci started back to college to be a journalist. She soon rekindled a childhood love, moved two hours away from home to be with him. After facing Ryan yet again in court and mediation she decided to moved back to her hometown. Childhood love, Kyle and Maci bought a house there, and things started to get rocky when the words "marriage" and "baby" were brought up. Needless to say they broke up. And now she has a new boyfriend, and Bentley is apparently following in his father's footsteps and racing dirt bikes. She also had a special coming on MTV soon, called "Being Maci."  YOU ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY FAVORITE. YOU GO GIRL.

 

 

 

       

 

These two pictures say a thousands words about Miss Amber Portwood. Her and fiancé of like three times? Gary, had dated for years before having their daughter Leah. They never seemed to go together, and were ALWAYS fighting. After breaking up, and getting back together time after time, assaulting her fiancé, then had a no contact order with Gary from a judge, losing custody of her daughter, going through rehab its only expected for this poor girl to currently be serving a five year sentence in jail. In a way I feel so terribly sorry for her. But then I realize she did all this to herself. I couldn't imagine seeing my daughter through bars, and missing out on all her fun and exciting stepping stones in her young life. DO YOUR TIME AND GET YOUR DAUGHTER BACK. SHE NEEDS YOU!!

 

Then there's Catelyn Lowell. These two sweethearts have been together since they were fourteen years young! Catelyn and boyfriend, Tyler Baltierra did what they thought was best, by putting their daughter Carly up for adoption. Which who could blame them with such a...awkward life their parents had made for them. Catelyns parents weren't together, her mom was all kinds of crazy drugie/alcoholic and her father was MIA somewhere in Florida.  Then Tylers mother was quite normal for what the show lead on, but his dad made up for everything good his mom did. His dad had been in and out of jail all Tylers life, not mention his alcohol, drug, and abusive issues. Oh. and did I mention Catelyn's mom and Tyler's dad had met through their relationship and decided to get married themselves? yeah. so poor Catelyn was under the same roof with crazy drugie /alcoholic mom, and drugie/alcoholic, and abusive step dad. greattt...they by far made the best decision for their precious little girl. They seemed like the perfect little couple. They had some rough patches like all couples do, and called off they're engagement twice? And then they showed up on the VH1 show, "couples therapy", and I know everyone is wondering..."how the heck are you two doing? Is there going to be a wedding?" WE ALL ARE DYING TO KNOW!!

 

 

 

 

 

Farrah. Farrah, Farrah, Farrah. Farrah Abraham, has been through a lot ill give her that. She was pregnant with her boyfriend that she had recently been not talking to when he died in a car accident. Her mom was controlling and belittling of everything Farrah did for herself and her daughter Sophia. She started the show being kind of a "dead beat mom" always partying and going out till late. I thought she would be the one to end up in jail. But she turned herself around...for awhile to focus on getting a degree, in Florida, which was by the way FARRR away from her family. She still continued to date, no one seemed to make the cut for her and Sophia. After graduating, Farrah decided to take on her life long dream of modeling. That's when Farrah's life looked as if her world got turned upside down. She got implants in her breast, she said it was for modeling...but most models are skinny with no curves at all, right? And then her sex tape came out and that got everyone talking. Doctor Phil interviewed her, and I must say she had you normal "F you" attitude she always has, but that didn't surprise me. What did however, was her reasoning behind the tape. She told Doctor Phil, on national television that she did the tape simply for herself. Simply because she wanted to and that was in on her private and personal time. Ok, I get her point. But Hellooooo...? You are famous? Didn't she know it would get out somehow? I think so. I find most of these girls have become attention whores. No really, that's for later. but come on?? Fake boobs, sex tape, and now recently shes done a porno, as well as posted pictures of her breathalyzer test...IN HER CAR! Also apparently she has a new boyfriend, and they have some kind of matching tattoo...COME ON FARRAH GET IT TOGETHER!!

So since the show was such I hit they came up with a new season, Teen Mom 2. With new moms, new babies, more baby daddy drama. It seems to me as the seasons go on the more drama this show has. This season there is Leah, Kailyn, Jenelle, and Chelsea.

 

 

Leah Messer has had a hard and tough road, one that one in a million 20 year olds can say they have. Leah got pregnant with ex-husband Cory Simms when they only had been dating for three months, and on top of that she was pregnant with TWINS! They got married quickly and the marriage started off rocky. They both saw how Aleeah was developing faster than her twin, Ali. Months and months of no answered questions, doctors appointments, surgeries, and therapy I still don't think they know what is wrong with Ali, and if they ever will. With Cory working a lot trying to support the family and fighting about Cory wanting a bigger and better truck, Leah came clean about cheating on him with an ex-boyfriend. Leah, worried about losing her girls filed for separation from her husband, and hopes she would keep the custody agreement they had already agreed on. Finally Leah and Cory were divorced and Leah had started thinking of dating again. She had a friend set her up with husband now Jeremy Calvert. Soon after they found out Leah was pregnant and they were ready for marriage. So Jeremy proposed, and Leah being Leah couldn't turn down a family. A few weeks later, Leah had a miscarriage but was still wanting to go through with the wedding her mom was planning for them. But plans changed quickly when they wanted to buy a house together. They got married at the courthouse, and had their fall wedding as planned. Very and I mean VERY soon after the marriage, Leah's third girl was born, Adalynn. I dont know how she gone through so much at such a young age. 20 years old, twin girls, divorced, married again, and third little girl? She so busy she don't have time to find trouble or realize trouble has found her.  KEEP PRESSING ON, YOU DOING GREAT GIRL!

 

Kailyn Lowry as always played on everyone heart strings from the beginning. The lack of a mom in her life made boyfriend Jo Rivera step up to help her in her time of need by moving into his families house after getting pregnant with their son Issac. Things went from bad to worse when she stood up for herself and wanted Jo to help out with Issac more. But with him working and recording, he wasn't wanting to add the extra energy. They soon broke up and Kailyn and Issac had no where to go but the basement of Jo's family home. And when they found out Kailyn had a boyfriend it was "get your stuff out" for Kailyn. She turned to her mom...that didn't work out. So she found an apartment and now her and her new boyfriend could be together without sneaking around. But things turned from good to bad, when Jo and Kailyn decide to shack up a few nights. Kailyn gets confused about where her and Jo stand, breaks it off with her boyfriend only to find out Jo has a new girlfriend.. she despises. Who could blame her? So Kailyn's friend Gigi, comes to the rescue and gets Kailyn back on her feet and introduces her to her now husband Javi Marroquin. Things went so well that they soon start thinking of when and if they should get married since Javi decides to join the Air force. They end up getting married at the courthouse, and Javi leaves shortly after for training. I know how you feel there girl! It sucks! Anyways, Javi is back and stationed in Delaware now. And rumor has it Kailyn is pregnant with their first child. Which is quite obvious by looking at all her photos on instagram, her tummy is cut out in EVERY.SINGLE.ONE!!

 

Then there's Jenelle Evans. So honestly the shortest recap... I would be here all night writing about just her. This picture is obviously when she was pregnant with her son Jace. This is the only time I can remember she was not in trouble and I actually liked her. This girl as always been selfish towards her son. She partied so much after having Jace, her mom took her to court and took custody away! HER MOM!! But who could blame her? All Jenelle has EVER done is party, and not take care of her son. All this partying has lead to not only losing custody of her son but she's been in and out of jail so many times we all have lost count. She been to rehab for drug addiction, had charges pressed on her, and even pressed charges on just two of the boyfriends we know about that has physically hurt her. Yes, Jenelle like almost every teenage girl, sucks at choosing a good guy for not only herself but her son too. Jenelle seems to fall in and out of love VERY quickly. She's been engaged three maybe four times...to different guys!!? Which clearly shows she don't know the true meaning of love. Jenelle and her mom Barbra have never gotten along. I've always thought Barbra was never taught good commination skills and just passed it to your daughter and quiet possibly her grandson. But through all the rage and anger, Jenelle was also diagnosed with Bi polar disorder. That in itself is so confusing and hard to deal with. Jenelle doesn't seem to have any true friends. The ones she did have was chased away from Jenelle's crazy life. Of course they were. Jenelle's life is a rollercoaster that never stops. I know a lot of people hate on Jenelle, and while I agree...she hasn't been the mom to Jace he deserves. But Jenelle seems to be TRYING to do right by Jace. According to her latest Instagram account she gets Jace every weekend, which means she must be doing something right. If not her crazy, controlling mom WOULD NOT let Jenelle have Jace. Jenelle is probably the one teen mom with the least support but really and honestly she needs the most. Although she just recently got released from jail August 14, she had a sexy underwear model waiting for her. Her recent boyfriend, Nathan Grittith seems to BE THE ONE! But seriously going through everything she has had to deal with at such a young age, fame, plus all the hate and discouragement from the watchers/other teen moms, which by the way are supposed to be the people that support her cause they've been there, or know some one that is there. This girl needs your support! I'm not saying she needs praise or a pat on the back for not doing the right thing. Just encouragement from as many people that she can and will do better!! YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOURESELF BEFORE YOU CAN LOVE SOMEONE ELSE!! 

 

Finally we have Chelsea Houska. Her and boyfriend Adam Lind thought they were perfect for each other until Chelsea got pregnant with their daughter, Aubree. Right off the bat, Adam started to screw up. And Chelsea said she had a bond with him and jut took it. Ok, we get it..he's the father of your child but he's better off just to stay gone. He never paid child support, and texted Chelsea, "Where's the papers to sign over that mistake?" He runs all over poor Chelsea, and she lets him! Chelsea has always had a great support system, her mom and of course and "daddy Randy." When Chelsea dropped out of high school to get her GED and take care of her daughter they were constantly pushing her. But Adam was always there prolonging the process. When Randy agreed to pay for her an apartment while she was getting her GED, Adam saw the opportunity of "getting the cow for free," so to speak. Adam moved in with her, Aubree and Chelsea's best friend Megan Nelson. Megan and Adam clearly never got along, and they both despised one another. After a fight breaking out, I thought Chelsea and Meagn's friendship was over for good. And again it was Adam's fought. So after running Megan off, Adam decides that his and Chelsea's relationship isn't working out. This is what he's always done. Come in and out of Chelsea's and Aubree's life. Talk about confusing. But this time he was gone for good, and Chelsea could finally get her GED. She finished her GED and now is currently in beauty school, to fulfill  her dream as a cosmetologist. I'm so glad she could succeed through all these hard times and do what's best for herself as well as her "mini me" cute Aubree. YOU GO GIRL, I SEE YOU!   

 

I was so sad when Teen mom 2 ended, but thankfully they're coming back for another season. SEASON FIVE!! The first group of moms only got four seasons. But again with every new group of girls their stories seem to have more, and more drama. It could quite possibly be the show. But they cant make people through a contract to have babies, use drugs, go to jail, join the military, or anything like that. That's when you got to think these girl have either A) a pretty good publicist or B) just straight up attention WHORES! Girls, if you're seeking attention, remember you want GOOD attention. EVERYONE is watching you. I think some times these girls forget they are in the public eye, and in the world we live in today EVERYONE has a dang opinion. With that said Teen Mom 3 premiers Monday, August 25 with new moms and new babies and more drama than Teen Mom 2 I'm sure. 

 

From right to left there's Briana Dejesus and her daughter Nova, then Katie Yeager and her daughter Molli, next is Mackenize Douthit and her son Gannon, and finally Alex Sekella and her daughter Arabella. And by the looks of the trailer of the season, and even the "where we are now" catch up special, my thinking is correct. The producers of this show feed on drama. I mean, yes I know this gets people talking...but why not show at least one girl that her life worked out? Cause its not typical? Cause the ratings will go down? I don't understand why girls are lining up for torture. I mean I love this show. I'm actually addicted to it. But the more I think about it the crazier this show is. Every single one of these girls either aren't with the dad of their child or constantly fighting with him? One hasn't  grown up, but claims he wants to be a dad, another is fighting and at one point pulling and tugging on the daughter, while the next one is only loving himself, oh yeah and lets not forget the drug addict dad that wants to start a physical fights with his child's mom!! Its just all to much for me, and this CANT be these young moms and their precious babies life all day everyday. I cant imagine. But like I've been doing, I'm going to watch and support this ladies and their babies like I still do the other eight. But this is just the beginning of their long road to fame, riches and public humiliation. JUST REMMBER FAVE AND FORTUNE ISNT EVERYTHING. DOING RIGHT BY YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILD IS...LET THE DRAMA AND SEASON BEGIN!
